Beatrix's appreciation for dance, and the magic that happens on a dance floor is what catalyzed his becoming a DJ. His life long appreciation for music and audio in all its forms, has helped him develop a style that draws on all the influences around him. He fluidly mixes together Dubstep, Trap, Drum & Bass, Grime, Hip-hop, and whatever else tickles his fancy. He treats his sets like a story, using different genres and styles to guide dancers through a spectrum of moods and feelings. Riding up and down different tempos and beats to bring them to places that are dark and sexy, to thoughtful and introspective. Beatrix is a co-founder of Shadow Puppet Productions, and has been an active member of the Vancouver underground Electronic music scene and the surrounding festival culture for many years.
