Jacob Leger and Jeremy Earley met at university while jamming a Bob Dylan song. Obviously. Neither of them took to the book life with much enthusiasm, and they focused instead on soaking up as much music as possible, and learning the craft of their favourite songwriters. After a few years living without a fixed address, and planting trees in northern Canada, they felt like they had honed their songwriting chops enough to move to BC and pursue music full time. One day, local Drummer Clayton Flett happened to notice that these two folkies had no percussionist, and promptly joined the band.
The take their lead from the poetry of the folk/singer-songwriter tradition, but infuse their music with their own electric energy and rock and roll sensibility. Their latest release ‘The Long Way to Lavapiés’, is available now, and was recorded at their house in Victoria BC.
