Best In Vancouver 2023 Sponsor Spotlight: Emily Ryan
Emily's career in the music industry began in 2017 when she graduated from the Nimbus School of Recording and Media, with a diploma in Advanced Engineering and Production. After graduation she moved to the UK where she shadowed several producers working out of studios in East London. Upon moving back to Vancouver, Emily started as an intern at Rain City Recorders and has since become one of the in-house engineers, as well as a freelance producer and mixer, specializing in rock based music.
Additionally, Emily is a Venue Rep at the Rickshaw Theatre and a Production Manager for MODO Live, a concert promotion company.
Where do you think the music industry is heading next? What are some things you would like to see?
I think the music industry is hard to predict right now, but lots of the more underground music that is coming out is really promising for the future.
I hope people continue recording in large scale studio so we can stay in business!
What recommendations do you have for bands to make the most of Best In Vancouver 2023?
Make sure all band members are sufficiently prepared, but also use this as an additional marketing opportunity to further promote your band.
Is there anything in the pipeline for you coming up that you would like to share?
I have lots of new projects on the cusp of being released, and I'm looking forward to sharing them with everyone!
