May Artist Spotlight: Sunny and the Dudes

This month’s Artist Spotlight is Vancouver’s lyrically compelling trio Sunny and the Dudes. With their bluesy guitar tones, steady drum beats, and funky bass riffs, they never fail to gravitate an audience abounded with excitement whenever they hit the stage.

As the name suggests, the band simply consists of Sianne (affectionately Sunny) on the bass and her two dudes, Dan on drums and Dave on the lead guitar and lead vocals. You may recognize them from previous shows around Vancouver at venues such as, the Blarney Stone and the Roxy Cabaret, but recently they’ve been working away behind the scenes on their soon-to-be released single "Slow and Steady". Although they are influenced by some of the best including Radiohead, Glorious Sons, and Black Keys, they’ve been honing in on their own sound and can’t wait to showcase it with the latest single.

Until the anticipated release of “Slow and Steady”, you can catch Sunny and the Dudes captivating the audience at the Roxy Cabaret on Friday, May 17th, with special guest The Bicyclists. For tickets to the show and to keep up to date with all things Sunny and the Dudes, follow the links below.
